Marissa and I first met up at my favorite Greek restaurant. Little did I know, it was her favorite Greek restaurant as well, and the owner of the restaurant who knew both Marissa and I separately, was so confused to see us sitting there together. Ha! As soon as Marissa opened her mouth, I loved her instantly. I am sure any of her friends reading this post can relate, she’s SO easy to love! We sat there for two hours dreaming up all the details of her wedding and talking about all the qualities that Will has that she loves. I left that meeting and texted Andrew right away saying “We have to shoot this wedding. I have to be there for Marissa on her wedding day.”

I am so glad that Marissa felt the same way and chose to hire us to capture her wedding. I have to stop right now to say this once more: HIRING WEDDING VENDORS THAT YOU HAVE A CONNECTION WITH AND WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH IS A MUST. Especially your photographer. Remember that you spend the most time on your wedding day with your photographer… more than you even do with your wedding planner, so hiring someone that you not only love their photography, but also love THEM as a person is so important. If you do not feel comfortable with your photographer in person or don’t feel like you know them, that WILL translate in your photos. Ok, I’m off my soap box now. 😉

Will & Marissa’s wedding was everything that we thought it would be and so much more thanks to the talent and hard work of the ladies at Outstanding Occasions.
