Happy Wednesday, friends! Typically EmilyJade writes all of our blog posts but I did not want to wait for her to get into the office tomorrow to post this. So here I am… not a writer by nature, but hoping to bless Harold and Allison with my words as their love story is and their wedding day was nothing short of perfect.
After more than 8 years of capturing the biggest day in our couple’s lives, it still never fails to put a smile on our faces to behold their joy when they see each other for the first time. There’s something so amazing about that moment. I often look over to see my wife wiping tears from her eyes. It’s a powerful moment. For Harold and Allison, it was on the stone bridge, where their wedding day started ‘together’. Before that moment, it was many little moments of getting ready separately and thinking of each other. After that moment, though, it stopped being his day or her day and became ‘their’ day; ‘their’ time together and ‘their’ hands that were holding each other and ‘their’ smiles as together they walked into the next chapter of their lives.
For Harold and Allison, I imagine that their wedding day might have been a big joyful blur. From the moment they woke to the moment they ran through all their loved ones holding sparklers and celebrating, it’s impossible to truly take it ALL in. There was no break between seeing each other on the stone bridge, to enjoying the company of their wedding party, to walking down the aisle, to dancing the night away and finally to leaving in a whirlwind of excited wedding guests. But our true passion is in capturing the story, so that in case our couples missed something, they will see it here. Harold and Allison, here is your wedding day told through our eyes; it was beautiful and precious and endearing and heartfelt and so much more. We feel blessed to know you both… Enjoy! -A
