Rustic Superstition Mountains Wedding Photography: Chris + Rebecca

December 5, 2016

Happy Monday, friends!

I am getting emotional as I type this blog post- I just really, really love Rebecca and I cannot believe her wedding day has already come and gone. Chris and Rebecca booked us to capture their wedding well over a year ago and they were one of the very first weddings on our schedule for our Fall 2016 season. Rebecca and I met over lunch for the first time and as soon as I saw her, I was immediately drawn to her smile. She has the most beautiful smile and the most genuine eyes. I knew I was loved and valued by her before she even opened her mouth to greet me. I was blown away!

Rebecca and I sat outside and chatted for over 2 hours that warm day. She shared the deep places of her heart and her love story with me and all about how Chris was the man of her dreams- she just had to go through a little bit of heartbreak to finally find him. We laughed and cried and I absolutely fell in love with her. I felt such a deep peace in my soul sitting there with her, and I left that meeting knowing that she would forever be one of my favorites. Her gentle demeanor and her genuine heart was so refreshing. Without even saying it, she reminded me that day that happiness is worth fighting for, there are always second chances, and that loving yourself is SO important.

When the wedding day arrived, I loved the special time I got to share with Rebecca as we drove to the ceremony just the two of us, I cried as we documented Chris crying as he watched her walk down the aisle, and we rejoiced as Rebecca walked into her reception room and screamed in excitement that Amy Bacon and Veronica with Juliet Le Fleur truly designed the wedding of her dreams! It was the perfect day, full of so much love and meaning. It was intimate and romantic and so very personal. Andrew and I were truly honored to be there. Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Rumbaugh!!
