Blackstone Wedding Photography: Jayce + Sandy

May 17, 2016

Happy Tuesday!
We are playing catch-up this week as we took a much-needed family trip last week to recharge and walked away from the office for several days. We still have 3 weeks of spring wedding season left and SO much beauty still to come to show you on our blog!

It’s hard for me to think of exactly what to write down about Jayce + Sandy because I am flooded with joy and emotion when I think of these two. Sandy is the type of gentle, genuine, kindred, soft-hearted, and positive woman that everyone needs in their life. When I sat down with Sandy at our first meeting, we found that we had SO many things in common, knew the same groups of people, shared the same faith, and we immediately got into deep and powerful conversation even moments after meeting. It was so natural, and as if I had known this woman all my life. Over the course of her wedding planning, there were several more lunch dates full of good conversation and encouragement… I love every moment with this girl!

When the wedding day came, I knew it would be incredible. I knew that based on their faith and how meaningful every little detail and event they planned to incorporate into their day that it would be a POWERFUL day. What I didn’t know was how incredibly joyful they could remain amidst the storms. And by storm, I mean an actual strong wind and rain storm that hit their wedding venue literally minutes before their ceremony- knocking down chairs, and destroying water goblets and decor at their outdoor reception set up. The storm came out of nowhere and we were all baffled when it showed up. Sandy + Jayce had been planning this perfect wedding for almost a year and in a split second, everything changed. The amazing staff at Blackstone Country Club (we love them!) jumped into action, came up with a Plan B, and moved everything indoors. They worked quickly and efficiently to ensure that Jayce and Sandy could still have the best wedding day.

While the new plan wasn’t the wedding that Jayce and Sandy dreamed about, they never missed a beat. I walked into Sandy’s bridal room to see how she took the news and with a big smile she said “All that matters today is that I get to marry Jayce.” And that’s exactly what she did. All of their loved ones came together to encourage and celebrate them and the day was perfect. Even with the changes, it was made perfect by their attitudes and joyfulness and it was SUCH a testimony of LOVE to us and to everyone who was able to witness their day.

Jayce and Sandy- thank you for putting God first in your lives and in your relationship. Thank you for understanding the true meaning of marriage, and for being such a blessing to everyone who knows you. Here are a few of our favorites- Enjoy! -A&EJ
