I (EmilyJade) am sitting here speechless. I don’t even know what to say about these two besides that I cried on their entire wedding day and crying even now as I am looking at these photos. The love and dedication they have to each other is unmatched. What they have been through in their relationship, the hurdles they have climbed, the joys they have celebrated together, and especially the precious little girl they brought into the world are all amazing examples of their unconditional love. While Andrew and I have been married for 6 years, we feel as if we have learned from their love, the way they prefer each other and serve each other. What a beautiful testimony to all who know them.

We met DJ and Khylie at our church a little more than a year ago. Khylie and I were pregnant together. Her with her tiny, adorable little baby bump, and me with my huge “I’ve had 3 kids” baby bump. 😉 I loved sharing a small season of pregnancy together and watching them as they first became parents. Seeing them at church every week and watching their love blossom, hearing about their wedding plans, and watching them care for their new little girl (Madelyn) was such a joy.

When we captured their wedding day, by the “worlds standards”, a lot of things went wrong. We were hit with a huge haboob, plagued by intense heat, and then surprised with unwanted rain. The weather was unpredictable, sweet little Madelyn was unpredictable and tired from all the excitement and stimulation of the day, and even still DJ acted as a constant to his girls. He was patient, quiet, understanding, and the perfect pillar of strength for Khylie to lean on. Watching them walk together through the hurdles of the day and keeping a smile on their faces and a positive attitude the entire time was mind-blowing. Khylie and DJ, you inspire us to be better. And we love you.
