Lake Tahoe was the perfect fit. It was the quiet calm of a lakeside mountain town that first drew me in, yet Tahoe City is still busy with people filling up seats in the local pubs and coffee shops, as well as hundreds of boats lining the shores. Emily and I both were caught up in the magic of a little town full of people who love where they live and wouldn’t wish to be anywhere else in the world. I wouldn’t mind living there 🙂

For Travis and Jenna, it was the perfect place for them to spend a week with their closest friends and family, just enjoying a time of hikes, wine walks, and late night poker. I love destination weddings for that reason; you get out of your element and then experience something brand new. It was one of the reasons that Emily and I were so excited about photography in the first place. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to be there to create beautiful images for Travis and Jenna to love for the rest of their lives. Jenna is a photographer herself, so there is always a bit more pressure when you do a photo shoot for one of your own kind 🙂 The best part for us is that we just fell into the mold of Travis and Jenna’s entire wedding experience, taking it in as a guest would and capturing the moments as they happened. These images are just a few that we took the day before their wedding; more to come from their actual wedding day 🙂
