Emily and Lon met while studying at Princeton in their undergrad years. Emily caught Lon’s eye and that was it for him; he had met his match 🙂 His brother said it best during his best man’s speech; Lon had accomplished a lot in his young life including setting decades old records in sports and getting his law degree, but by far the greatest thing he ever accomplished was winning Emily’s heart 🙂 A little while later, they relocated to Phoenix where Lon studied law at ASU and as their relationship developed, they knew a wedding was in the very near future. That’s where we enter 🙂 When Lon and Emily contacted us, we knew that there was something special about this couple. Then, after I did a sunrise photo engagement session with them at The Botanical Gardens, I knew what it was; they have this genuine, classy love for each other. There is just something elegant about the way they are in front of the camera; like they would have fit perfectly in a 1950’s classic love story alongside Bogart and Hepburn. Emily’s attention to detail, with the help of Chelsa with Some Like It Classic Events, was flawless, making for a perfect wedding day. From start to finish, this was a breath taking wedding and we were so honored to capture it for Lon and Emily. Enjoy these photos and get a glimpse into their wedding day from our point of view 🙂 -A
A special thanks to Chelsa with Some Like It Classic Events! Much love for you and the rest of our SLIC friends 🙂
They had a fabulous idea to display the place cards on a piano, wrapped with roses along with their engagement photos, and old photos of their parents and grandparents. It looked stunning!
Lon and Emily took weeks of dance lessons prepping for their first dance as husband and wife and came up with an incredible routine! All of their guests cheered every time Lon spun or dipped his new bride! 🙂
Congratulations, Lon and Emily! You were a complete inspiration to Emily and I, and that turned into a collection of wedding photos that we are incredibly proud of. We wish you the best in your new life together 🙂
