Happy Tuesday, friends! I cannot believe this day is here- we are finally posting our LAST wedding of 2016! 2016 was an incredible year for us! We had the pleasure of capturing 37 amazingly beautiful and unique weddings… and even more incredible than the weddings were the couples that we got to journey with. Every single couple touched us so deeply and made us feel so loved and valued. Every single couple made us love our job even more and thank God that THIS is what we get to do for a living. 2016 was more than we could ever have hoped for!
We ended our year in Sedona at the beautiful L’Auberge de Sedona. The day threatened rain and it was chilly outside, but Allison never stopped smiling. Actually, I should stop here. When I say the day threatened rain, I mean that it sprinkled while Allison was getting ready, stormed right before we planned a first look, the sky cleared up right as Allison and Eric saw each other for the first time and then stayed clear through all of our photos and into their ceremony. We had an indoor option for the ceremony but everyone pushed to keep it outside- you CANNOT BEAT the STUNNING ceremony views at L’Auberge (scroll down to see). Then it started sprinkling again right at the end of the ceremony. When Allison and Eric kissed for the first time as husband and wife, a beautiful, HUGE double rainbow formed across the sky behind them and all of their guests gasped. It was too perfect- like something out of a movie! Cocktail hour was beautiful, and then the storm came right as all of their guests headed inside for dinner- and then it poured rain the rest of the night! What are the odds? Allison and Eric had the perfect weather, it’s as if the rain was working around their schedule. Either way, these two never lost sight of the most important aspect of their day: COMMITMENT TO EACH OTHER.
Andrew and I loved watching them as they smiled at each other throughout the day, as Eric tenderly held his new wife during their first dance, as their loved ones cheered all day long, as Allison quietly cried as she read a personal letter from Eric sharing his heart with her, as her grandmothers watched her getting into her dress from across the room with such contentment on their faces… There was one special moment after the next and we were so humbled to be there.
Congratulations Allison and Eric! Your wedding was truly the PARTY that you hoped for! Cheers to 2016 and all the excitement that 2017 has in store! :) -A&EJ

It’s Friday night! Which means this blog post is WAY overdue! As we headed into a new year, it seems we got swept off of our feet and landed right on our behinds- it has been a whirlwind of busy and the last two weeks seem to have completely vanished! Is it really MID January already?
Andrew and I prepared for our New Years Eve weekend for weeks before as we had the honor of documenting 2 amazing weddings that weekend. While we weren’t at parties or ringing in the New Year with friends like many were, we were doing something even better… capturing 2 different couples commit their lives to each other and pledge their love- it was an incredibly special New Years weekend for us and we wouldn’t have rather been doing anything else.
Jon and Molly were the first wedding of the weekend and we were beyond excited for their day. When I first met Molly, I got to meet her mom and her sister that day too so I already knew that I not only loved Molly, but I LOVED the entire family! It was special to spend time with the girls, and Molly and Jon’s engagement session a couple of months later proved my hunch even more that Jon and Molly are just two of the best people in the whole world. They love passionately, smile constantly, and they laugh… oh they laugh! They laugh at each other, they laughed at us, and they laugh at themselves. In fact, I don’t think we stopped laughing with them the entire wedding. It was an incredibly joyful day!
Jon and Molly, thank you for choosing us. Your smiles will forever be engrained in our minds and will forever bring us joy when we think of you. You are wonderful in every way and we cannot wait to see what life has in store for you as you navigate it together. :) -A&EJ

Wow, this wedding was SOOO much fun! During my first phone call with Krystle, I knew then that her wedding was going to be something special. She had a vibrant personality and a style that was completely unique. Her confident demeanor and her love for life was so evident just by the way she talked… it was impossible not to fall in love with her right then and there.
Andrew and I anticipated this wedding for months because we knew it was going to be so unlike anything we had captured before. It was a breath of fresh air, funky and wild, and the day had Bo and Krystle written all over it. Krystle wasn’t afraid to make the day her own, and we were so impressed by her mindset. Krystle cancelled wedding plans in another country and scheduled her wedding in Arizona simply so that all of her loved ones could be there. She planned a whole weekend for everyone including zip lining, wild animals, shopping, and even a brunch the morning after the wedding. During dinner on her wedding day, there was not formal seating- it was all casual and comfortable. She planned stations with every kind of food imaginable- Indian food, Persian food, Italian, American, Vegetarian… her main goal was to make sure that every guest feel valued and loved… and we will tell you… they surely did!! Bo and Krystle- you two are just amazing!
Jamie from Imoni Events and the talented ladies from Petal Pusher knocked this one out of the park! Every detail was perfect, unique, and beautiful- we felt so honored to be there to document it all! Here are a few of our favorites- enjoy!

It’s almost the weekend! 10 more days until Christmas- are you as excited as we are?? Typically we take the month of December off work but this year we booked 5 amazing weddings in December. While it’s been a month full of work, it truly has been magical! There is just something about December- something about this time of year that makes people happier, that makes weddings more joyful and celebratory, and that makes dance parties that much bigger. Not to mention all of the beautiful wintery white weddings we have been photographing- it has all been SO wonderful!
I have to start this post by saying- we have never seen a dance party as big as Alex and Katie’s before. Maybe it was that The Instant Classics truly rocked the place (like they always do) but I believe it was also a combination of the incredible people that Alex and Katie choose to surround themselves with. It was a crowd ready for celebrating! A crowd that truly understood the meaning of marriage and how special it was that they were invited that day. A crowd that laughed so naturally and cheered anytime they had the chance. I’ve said it before but I truly believe you can tell who a person is by the people they surround themselves with. There was so much genuine love and undeniable excitement on Alex and Katie’s wedding day, that even if you didn’t know them, you would know deep down that they were truly incredible people.
My absolute favorite parts of their day included all the natural in-between moments: The look on Katie’s mothers face as she was zipping up Katie’s dress, the smile on Katie’s father’s face as he watched us taking pictures and walked up to congratulate his daughter and new son, the way Alex teared up as he watched his bride walking town the aisle towards him, the way Alex and Katie laughed as they tried to figure out how to pose with their Beer Burro, and the way Katie walked into the bridal suite during the reception, hugged her wedding planner and announced to us both “I am having SOOO much fun!” It was one special moment after another and full of so much emotion- which is our FAVORITE kind of wedding day!
Congratulations Alex & Katie- thank you for being such a light to everyone around you, and thank you for inviting us to play a role in such a PERFECT day! Cheers to Marriage!! -A&EJ
