El Chorro Wedding Photography: Melvin + Nicole

Happy Friday!! We are more than halfway through our fall wedding season and we can hardly believe it! This year has flown by and it just keeping flying… Christmas will be here before we know it!

Andrew and I absolutely LOVED Melvin and Nicole’s wedding day! We loved the connection that we had built with them, we loved watching their nerves turn to excitement as the day progressed, and we LOVED all of their friends and family! It was the most beautiful day! Before you scroll down, here is a little glimpse into their love story from Nicole:

“Melvin and I met through mutual friends at a house party in Mesa when we were both freshmen in college. Back then, I could see Melvin’s huge afro from afar. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he has the cutest smile! Eventually we started talking and I realized his outgoing personality matched his handsome looks. Within a month of knowing one another, we officially started dating. We celebrated seven anniversaries as a couple before Melvin got down on one knee in Aruba. On 6-16-16, he totally surprised me by asking if I would make him “the happiest man on this happy island”. My first reaction was, “Is this real life?!” On October 21st, I finally married my best friend. What I love most about Melvin is his heart of gold. He always makes me feel loved and special. He treats me with respect and kindness, and he never forgets how important the little things are. I cannot wait to spend forever with my true love!”

Saguaro Lake Ranch Wedding Photography: Ryley + Brittany

You guys, I am SO excited to be sitting down to write this post tonight. Andrew and I feel on fire lately. And not on fire in an arrogant way at all… we feel like our thirsty souls were so quenched creatively on our 2 month long RV trip this summer that we entered our fall season with a spark and an excitement to start again. And I will tell you, our fall season has not disappointed!!

One of the things that we personally LOVE most as artists is the diversity in the weddings and couples that we get to capture. We DON’T shoot the same style or kind of wedding every single weekend and we LOVE that. Somehow we always seem to get different weddings, different themes, different colors, different couples… diversity. And that allows us to come alive as artists and work to capture our very best images every single weekend.

Ryley and Brittany’s wedding was an artist’s dream come true! Rich colors, incredible scenery, lots of unique details, a couple who truly love and admire each other, and one killer vendor team… we loved every single moment of it! After nearly 9 years as full-time wedding photographers, our job just keeps getting better and better. Thank you to all of the amazing couples who have trusted us to capture their day… we seriously love you all! -A&EJ

Four Seasons Scottsdale Wedding Photography: Nick + Kathleen

As I sit down to write this post, I have a million different thoughts about these two swirling in my head. I could talk about how they met in Grad School at Notre Dame and locked eyes, or I could talk about how happy they seem when they are together. I could talk about how kind and caring Kathleen is, or how loving Nick is to Kathleen and the way his face lights up when she enters the room. In fact, I don’t think we have ever met a couple is who is more perfect for each other than these two are. I could talk about how much they love to travel, and all the amazing places they have been together. But really, as a photojournalist at heart, I am passionate about letting the images speak for themselves. As you keep scrolling down, I hope that you are able to see and feel the story of their day and the incredible joy between these two and their loved ones. Nick and Kathleen’s day was absolutely perfect and beautiful in every way. We feel so lucky that we got to document it all. Enjoy! -A&EJ

Sanctuary Mountain Resort Wedding Photography: Jason + Caroline

Jason and Caroline have such an amazing story. She grew up in France, he grew up in the States. They came from such different backgrounds and yet they mesh SO perfectly together… as if they were made for each other. Here are some fun facts about their relationship from Caroline herself:

“Our story began in January 2011 at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale Arizona. We were assigned to work on group project together and sparks flew. Since then, we have:

-Studied, travelled (and partied) across 6 countries during our study abroad in Prague and Beijing.
-Hiked at least 30 beautiful Arizona peaks and trails
-Watched approximately 120 episodes of Dateline NBC, our Friday night tradition
-Consumed at least 200 bottles of sparkling wine (mostly during aforementioned Friday night tradition)
-Lived almost 1.5 years apart, before reconnecting at a friend’s wedding where Jason embarked on a successful quest to woo Caroline back
-Redeemed at least 100,000 Southwest points to use on flights between Dallas and Phoenix to see each other.
-Spent 6 interesting hours lost in the Costa Rican countryside trying to navigate to a hotel. Not surprisingly, Caroline was in charge of maps.
-Taken 0bike rides together using the bike Jason convinced Caroline to purchase. Maybe one day!
-Experienced 1 incredible proposal in Sedona after a private jeep tour, followed by a weekend filled with amazing restaurants, spectacular hikes and complimentary champagne toasts.”

We are SO inspired by these two and how adventurous their relationship has been and will continue to be. Never stop adventuring together, friends… there’s MAGIC there.
Enjoy these photos from the day these two smiled the biggest! :) -A&EJ
