Scottsdale Engagement Photography: Will + Meghan

We love this couple! The first time I met with them, I fell in love with Meghan’s smile and I could already imagine her engagement session and how she would photograph in my mind as we chatted that first day. When their session finally arrived, it was even better than we could have hoped for as they were so natural in front of the camera! They laughed their way through the shoot, and Andrew and I left feeling so happy and lucky to do what we do. I have to pinch myself sometimes when I think about how awesome it is that we can make our living capturing beautiful relationships and special moments. What an honor to be chosen by such an incredible couple to document such a precious season in their lives!

We are OVER THE MOON excited for Will + Meghan’s wedding day this coming fall at El Chorro with Victoria Canada Weddings! It’s going to be AMAZING! Enjoy!

Sedona Anniversary Photography: Alex + Angela

Looking at these finished photos this evening just makes my heart soar. Not because of the editing or even anything that WE did, but because there is so much romance in every single image. We love how real these two are with each other and with us and how evident their love is- even after 4 years of marriage and 10 total years together.

We love weddings… I mean we REALLY love weddings. But our love for anniversary sessions far exceeds that. Those of you who know us already know that we are pro-marriage. That we are passionate about marriage. That we personally have had a hard road and that our own marriage experienced incredible redemption just two years ago. While we love taking pretty pictures, we are in this business for the people and for the celebration of marriage. Our focus is and has been and will continue to be on the PEOPLE and the emotion- way more than the details. That is just another reason we love anniversary sessions- no details involved and very little distraction- just a solid 2 hours of focus on a gorgeous couple as they think back on all they have been through together to get to know they are.

When Angela, who is a wedding photographer in Oklahoma, reached out to us several months ago about taking her anniversary photos, I was speechless. It is always SUCH an honor to document someones relationship, but when that someone is also a photographer, it makes it that more special for us. We truly felt valued and loved, and we cherish this amazing family. While the focus is mostly on Angela and Alex, the shoot wouldn’t be complete without as many photos as possible of sweet little Anderson… I mean, how adorable is she!?!?

Congratulations Alex and Angela on 4 years of marriage, the sweetest baby girl, and all of the mountains you have climbed to get where you are! You are such a blessing! -A&EJ

Cheryl Lefler - Thank you for capturing these beautiful images for Angela, Alex and Anderson. They are all exquisite!

Four Seasons Scottsdale Wedding Photography: Carlo + Athena

Carlo + Athena are so inspiring. I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart, and we just feel so lucky to know them. From the minute I met with them inside of their beautiful home, I was just amazed by them. They both work full time, are extremely talented and respected scientists, they are so humble, they travel the world researching, and somehow they also manage to balance 3 young children… and 3 children who are so evidently loved, taken care of, and tenderly supported. In fact, their daughter had a recital scheduled the morning of the wedding, and Carlo and Athena handled it with such grace. They would never dream of missing it, so they rearranged their wedding plans to accommodate it and came straight to their wedding venue afterwards. They both have a gentle and genuine spirit about them, and you can see the love in their eyes for life, for each other, and for their loved ones.

I love Carlo and Athena’s love story. It is their story to tell, but I will share that Athena waited patiently for many years until she could have the wedding day of her dreams and they could make it happen, and I swear, when the day finally came, she was beaming ALL day- so confident, content, and just about the most beautiful bride (inside and out) that we have ever seen. We LOVED watching Carlo and Athena all day together- the way they love each other, and how they are completely committed to one another, and we loved the excitement on their children’s faces as everyone celebrated them. It was TRULY a JOYOUS day, and their stellar team of wedding professionals made the day and the decor insanely beautiful. It was all so perfect and will forever be one of our favorite weddings! Enjoy! -A&EJ

Desert Engagement Photography: Brik + Alli

Ohhh Arizona- we cannot get enough of the way the Arizona desert photographs during golden hour. This day was particularly romantic as the wind came out to play and brought such LIFE to these photos. We love windy days (even though couples are often worried that wind will ruin an engagement session, we think the wind actually adds to shoots), and we especially love when our couples trust us completely like Brik + Alli do. We had such a blast with these two trekking through the desert and capturing their relationship!

Just 4 1/2 months until Brik + Alli tie the knot at one of our favorite wedding venues (Royal Palms Resort) and we cannot wait! Enjoy!

Aquilla Brinker Brock - Love these two! The photos are amazing!

Private Estate Wedding Photography: Bradford + Tracy

Happy Wednesday! It’s been a little quiet around here the last two weeks. In fact, we have barely survived the last two weeks. Between a move to a different city (20 minutes west), a big garage sale, 3 weddings, countless meetings and photo shoots, a dead car battery and over-using Uber services until we could get jumper cables, a sister going into emergency surgery out of the blue which left us all terrified, and then our 2 year old in the emergency room after a fall with a stick in his mouth which resulted in a punctured tonsil, we have had our fair share of crazy over here! I share all of this because this beautiful wedding was meant to be posted over a week ago, but sometimes life happens. All is well over here now, and we are so happy to be posting today!

I can’t help but smile as I write about Bradford and Tracy. Andrew and I just feel SO fortunate to have crossed paths with these two! Bradford and Tracy met on TINDER and immediately hit it off. They knew pretty quickly that they had found their soul mate and they laugh about how Tinder was the last place they thought they would find “their person”. From the moment we met them, one word kept coming to mind: GENUINE. They deeply and genuinely love each other. They are genuine in their speech and the way they care for their families and loved ones. They genuinely appreciate people and make everyone they meet feel so valued. Their smiles are genuine, their words are genuine… they are truly two of the most beautiful people we have ever met.

The wedding day was filled with emotion and SO much beauty! Tracy planned the entire day in just 3 months, and we were blown away as we saw her vision come to life! Since she was a little girl, she had dreamed about getting married in her father’s BEAUTIFUL backyard at the base of Camelback Mountain- the same backyard she used to play in as a child. So many memories were created there over the years, but we would bet that her best memory to date happened just a couple of weeks ago as she committed to the man of her dreams forever. We just loved witnessing these two talk and flirt and love on each other throughout the day. It was so perfect. Enjoy! -A&EJ
