Royal Palms Resort Wedding Photography- Matt & Kiley

May 28, 2019

You guys… our amazing season has come to a close! We are happy and sad at the same time. We will miss our incredible clients and the time we got together but we are SO happy for them that they are finally married! This last wedding was SUCH a joy to photograph! Here is a little bit about Matt & Kiley’s fun love story:

In 2014, Kiley and Matt met briefly at a friend’s apartment before the Waste Management Open. They parted ways afterwards, but as fate would have it, reconnected two years later at a Kentucky Derby party. Both times that Kiley met Matt, she remembered noticing how tall he was. After striking up a conversation for a few minutes, she realized how easy he was talk to. Although they hadn’t seen each other in years, they effortlessly clicked and became close friends.

After a mere two weeks of dating, Kiley knew that he was the one she wanted to marry. She couldn’t imagine going another day without him being by her side. When you know, just you know!

One week before Matt and Kiley planned to move to Dallas, they had a going away dinner with some friends at Quiessence at The Farm at South Mountain. They arrived early to enjoy a glass of wine together and take a walk on the beautiful property. Later, when the four of them checked in for their reservation, the hostess congratulated them on their engagement! For the next 15 minutes, Matt and their friends worried and stressed that the engagement surprise had been ruined, and then they realized that Kiley hadn’t heard the hostess and was still completely unaware of the plan! Then they left to walk the farm and take pictures, and Kiley was attempting to take a selfie of them when Matt moved out of the frame. She turned around to tell him to move in closer, and she saw him down on one knee holding a ring. The next few moments were a blur for Kiley and she vaguely remembers the words he said to her as she nodded her head vigorously and pulled him in for a kiss.

The inspiration behind their wedding style was the desire to have something a little different from the norm. Kiley loves tropical florals, and they wanted to also keep things light, airy and neutral. They wanted to the wedding to feel very organic with small touches of gold and sparkle. Sarah with Imoni Events and Nicole with The Wildflower AZ knocked this one of out the park! It was the PERFECT way to end our incredible spring wedding season! Enjoy!
