It’s Friday! And we are headed out the door to capture two weddings this weekend, but I could not leave without posting this wedding, so a quick blog post it is today!

Brenda hired us to be her wedding photographers a full 14 months before her wedding, so we have been anticipating this beautiful day for a long time! When I first met with Brenda, I remember thinking that one big word stood out to me about her: Genuine. She was so real about her life plans, and the way she wanted her wedding to go. If you know me at all, you know that authenticity is a BIG value of mine, so Brenda immediately fit perfectly into our “dream bride” category and it was easy to fall in love with her. I was captivated by her smile then and the joy in her eyes, and I could not wait to meet the man that she blushed about! When we finally met Blake, he was everything she described and more!

When the wedding day arrived last week, it was everything Blake and Brenda hoped for! Their desire all along was to create a day focused around their love for each other. They did not want a formal seated dinner and place cards, they didn’t want a wedding cake or to stick to old wedding traditions. They wanted their guests to feel valued and like family all day long. They hoped they would spend most of their time connecting with each other. They truly achieved that desire- It was a wedding full of conversation, laughter, and connection as their guests bounced around from dance floor to patio, to fireplace, to the lounge seating, and to gelato… Everyone felt at home and at peace as they celebrated Blake and Brenda’s beautiful love.
