The first moment I heard Alli’s sweet voice on the phone with her thick Texas accent, I knew I loved her. She used the word “y’all” probably 30 times in that 30 minutes and I smiled from ear to ear every time I heard it. I have yet to meet a Texan that I didn’t love. I am so enthralled by their family values, their hospitality, and the way they treat everyone they meet with such genuine kindness. Alli had already made up her mind that she was hiring us for her wedding before we even spoke on the phone, and so I felt like I was chatting and giggling with an old friend that day as she shared her love story with me and we talked through all the details.

The engagement session was our first time meeting these two in person, and I have to admit, Brik and Alli were made for each other. They are PERFECT opposites, with just enough in common to make a beautiful friendship, but enough differences to add some spice and excitement to their relationship. We loved watching Alli roll her eyes every time Brik cracked a joke, and the way Brik looked at Alli with pride in his eyes as he stood back and watched her as we took portraits of her. He doesn’t say much to express his feelings in public, but his eyes speak VOLUMES of his love for Alli.

When the wedding day came, it was exactly as we imagined it would be. The day ran smoothly and joyfully thanks to our friend Lara with Sealed With A Kiss Events, and we loved each and every friend and family member (and their adorable Texan accents) just as much as we thought we would. The details were classy and beautiful, but the FEEL of the event was just what Alli hoped for- couple focused, family oriented, relational and personal. The decor was stunning, but PEOPLE matter most, and their wedding day truly reflected that. It was perfect.
