Looking at these finished photos this evening just makes my heart soar. Not because of the editing or even anything that WE did, but because there is so much romance in every single image. We love how real these two are with each other and with us and how evident their love is- even after 4 years of marriage and 10 total years together.

We love weddings… I mean we REALLY love weddings. But our love for anniversary sessions far exceeds that. Those of you who know us already know that we are pro-marriage. That we are passionate about marriage. That we personally have had a hard road and that our own marriage experienced incredible redemption just two years ago. While we love taking pretty pictures, we are in this business for the people and for the celebration of marriage. Our focus is and has been and will continue to be on the PEOPLE and the emotion- way more than the details. That is just another reason we love anniversary sessions- no details involved and very little distraction- just a solid 2 hours of focus on a gorgeous couple as they think back on all they have been through together to get to know they are.

When Angela, who is a wedding photographer in Oklahoma, reached out to us several months ago about taking her anniversary photos, I was speechless. It is always SUCH an honor to document someones relationship, but when that someone is also a photographer, it makes it that more special for us. We truly felt valued and loved, and we cherish this amazing family. While the focus is mostly on Angela and Alex, the shoot wouldn’t be complete without as many photos as possible of sweet little Anderson… I mean, how adorable is she!?!?
