As I sit down at my computer today, the same four words come to mind that have popped into my head for every other couple we have had the privilege of photographing this season, and I can never seem to come up with a better phrase than “We love this couple!” It is just so true. We have been SOOO incredibly blessed to work with the absolute best couples in town throughout our entire business, but especially this spring season.

The morning of Chris + Elissa’s brunch wedding, Andrew woke up with a horrible stomach flu and could not function- not even enough to get in the car. Luckily, we have the absolute BEST photographers here in Arizona and the BEST photography community (thank God!) so it was easy for me to find someone who was amazing and willing to help me to document their day beautifully. While it was a stressful situation for me in the beginning, we ended up with 5 photographers total shooting throughout the day, and I NEVER saw a smile leave Elissa’s face once. I could tell that she trusted me. That she knew I would give her the best photos possible regardless of the circumstances, that I would bring on only the best photographers (A HUGE shoutout to my girls Kelsie with PINKERTON PHOTOGRAPHY and Charity with CHARITY MAURER PHOTOGRAPHY for saving the day!), and that she had nothing to worry about. I cannot even describe in words how valued and loved she made me feel that day just by her actions and her smile. THIS is why we do what we do. Not just because we love pretty photos but because of the relationships we get to develop with our clients and how by their wedding day, they feel like dear friends and trust us so fully. We are SO lucky to have the job that we do.

Chris + Elissa’s brunch wedding was so perfect and so meaningful! From the Beer Burro to the Gelato cart, to the vibrant florals and all the lawn games and mingling, their wedding TRULY represented who they are as individuals and who they are as a couple. They are laid back, relational and so joyful! I think it could have poured rain and their wedding day and they wouldn’t have even blinked an eye. It is so refreshing to see couples like them who truly understand that the wedding is about the MARRIAGE itself and not just about an elaborate party. There is so much life, laughter, and adventure in their relationship and I feel like I could watch them interact forever and never get bored. Their marriage is going to be such an inspiration to many, and we feel SO honored to know them and to have played a small role in their love story. Chris + Elissa, thank you for being you, for trusting us completely, and for being such a LIGHT to everyone around you, especially to us. -A&EJ
