Balboa Park Wedding Photography: Patrick + Elizabeth

August 7, 2014

Patrick + Elizabeth are perfect for each other.

They were originally planning to get married in Arizona in the fall and that is how we met them. After a few months, they realized that getting married in San Diego (where they live) was much easier and a much better fit for them. We were thrilled to have their new date available and to be able to trek to San Diego (one of our favorite places in the world) to capture their big day.

Their wedding was unique start to finish as it NEVER rains in San Diego in August… but on this one day, it decided to drizzle… all day long. 🙂 Their ceremony was moved quickly to a courtyard at Prado from their outside location, a few of their guests had trouble finding the new location, and everything seemed chaotic… but only for a minute. Elizabeth never stopped smiling and Patrick didn’t lose any of his excitement as he stood out in the rain directing guests to his new ceremony site.

Not only are they amazing, but we also have incredible respect for these two. Patrick + Elizabeth are both active Marines and met in the Marine Corps. Besides her amazing muscles ;)), you would never know Elizabeth is a marine… she is girly and fun, laughs a LOT, and she even has a college degree in Opera Performance! Both her and Patrick have precious little girls so it was amazing to witness the two families become ONE and these two little girls officially become sisters. My favorite part of the day? Watching Patrick as he adoringly looked at the girls in his life. His new bride and his daughters… it moved me to tears. Congratulations Patrick + Elizabeth, we enjoyed every minute of your wedding day and we are moved by the way you love each other and your little ones. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness together!
