Derek + Alicia are one of a kind. The first time I (Emily) received an email from Alicia inquiring about our wedding services, I could already tell what a FUN and unique person she was. She had this spunk to her and a beautiful excitement for life! Our first meeting only confirmed this as we chatted about all things girly, shoes, weddings, and her desperate love for Derek like we had been friends forever. I LOVE when I make a connection like that with my brides and I am thrilled to say I mostly always do. We just have the coolest brides ever! Seriously.

When it came time to plan their engagement shoot, Alicia had a specific idea in mind. Because she didn’t want to have to travel all the way to Sedona, we searched and searched the Phoenix area for any river-side spots like she had imagined. Of course, we found NOTHING that compared. Andrew came up with some other ideas, but I just couldn’t agree to any of them. I told Alicia that if she didn’t have exactly what she wanted, she would always wish that she could go back and change it. I feel so strongly about our couples having the location they love MOST that Andrew and I are happy to travel just about anywhere to achieve that. I was thrilled when Alicia went back to her first choice and we planned a session for Sedona!!

Derek + Alicia know this secret spot that they let us in on with a beautiful little stream. The weather was cooler, the breeze felt amazing, and the stream was just breathtaking. We finished the session with a trip to one of our favorite little places ever, Tlaquepaque. We laughed until our stomachs hurt with Derek + Alicia the entire shoot and we became instant friends. We are so thrilled for their wedding next March!! Congratulations, love birds. 🙂 -E
