Four Seasons Scottsdale Wedding Photography: Bjorn + Ashley

I am so excited to be writing this blog post today! It means many things… that we were able to get completely caught up on work while on our #flemingstravelamerica road trip… that we officially closed the chapter on our spring/summer season and now we have two months of rest before Fall wedding season starts… and that we concluded our spring/summer season with just about the best couple we could have ever hoped for!

Bjorn and Ashley booked us to capture their day just two months before their wedding date and when Kayla with Some Like It Classic contacted us to see if we were available, we pushed our summer travel dates back in order to be there to shoot it. We knew we could NOT pass up an opportunity to work with Kayla again (we ADORE SLIC!) and Bjorn and Ashley sounded like a dream! It was the best decision we ever made!

B + A’s wedding day was one of the most emotional and genuinely moving weddings we have ever had the joy of capturing. The speech Bjorn gave to his new bride before dinner had everyone in tears. The meaningful moments as they celebrated and acknowledged loved ones that had passed on, the deep friendship and kindness we witnessed among the wedding guests, and the way the bride and groom expressed their deep appreciation to everyone… including their wedding vendors… it was magical to witness it all!

I have to throw this out there too… how INCREDIBLY classy is this beautiful couple? They looked AMAZING but my favorite accessory was their vibrant and joyful smiles… all day long! To see it all, keep scrolling! -A&EJ

It’s rare for me (Andrew) to be writing blog posts these days. EmilyJade has the uncanny ability to write our couple’s stories better than anyone I know. Every once in a while, though, I photograph a wedding on my own and in that case, I get the chance to write about our client’s wedding day.

In David and Annie’s case, I had the opportunity to work with them on my own. :) To say that these two souls are genuine is an understatement; they are both so full of character and kindness. I was so honored to get to photograph their big day. There were too many amazing moments to write them all down here but I have to mention that I have never seen wedding guests clap so often during the ceremony! :) They applauded BOTH David and Annie all the way down the aisle and it was such an incredible thing to witness how much their friends and family adore these two. David, unbeknownst to Annie, spent weeks choreographing a special dance with his friends for Annie during the reception; it was full of several songs, glow sticks, and even, picking Annie up off the ground in her chair as David serenaded her around the room. It was magical and hilarious! :)

David and Annie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your wedding day. I hope you enjoy these photos for your entire lives and EmilyJade and I wish you all the happiness in the world. -A

Happy Monday! This week is going to be packed full for us as we prepare to leave town on Friday… for TWO months! Those of you who don’t follow us on Instagram… we are heading out for two months on an RV trip around the country with our little ones! It has been our dream to do a long road trip to photograph beautiful and unseen parts of the country for some time, and this summer our dream has become a reality! We are so excited! You can follow our journey on our travel instagram account: @thewanderingfive.

This wedding was the LAST wedding of our Spring 2017 season. It was much anticipated and we are so excited to finally be posting it today! As artists, we always want to finish out each season on a HIGH note and that is exactly what happened with this season- Brittany and Justin were the perfect couple… the represented everything we hope our couples will be. We got to work with a lot of our favorite people at one of our favorite venues, the weather was beautiful and not too hot, and the wedding itself was absolutely breathtaking! It was the perfect day from start to finish and Andrew and I felt so fortunate to be there that day.

Brittany radiates joy! She has the most beautiful smile. She is kind and compassionate. She loves people and deeply respects Justin and all the men in her life. She is the type of girl that you want to be your best friend… everyone NEEDS her kind of joy. Justin is the perfect match for Brittany. He is patience and quiet, understanding and genuine… and the way he looks at Brittany would make any girl go weak in the knees. We absolutely loved watching these two interact and love on each other throughout their day. It was the BEST day and we cannot wait for you to keep scrolling and check it out! –>

Justin and Brittany: Congratulations! We adore you both and feel so lucky to know you. Marriage looks good on you!! ;) -A&EJ

Desert Mountain Wedding Photography: Taylor + Sarah

Hi all! I cannot believe it is already Saturday… and we are halfway through June! Where has the time gone??

This blog post is WAY overdue… It’s almost embarrassing how overdue it really is. We moved out of our home a couple of weeks ago and we still don’t have internet access at our new place. Every time I think we finally have it, there is some kind of problem and it still hasn’t been fixed. So here I am, stealing WIFI from Starbucks to get this posted. ;)

I need to start by saying how amazing Taylor and Sarah are… without even meeting us, they chose to book us for their wedding, and when we finally met, they hugged us like they had known us for years… like we were good friends. We have never felt so loved and appreciated as we did by these two. Sarah flashed me a smile about 10 times on her wedding day and said “I am so glad you guys are here.” WOW. What an honor. There is nothing like being and FEELING appreciated for something Andrew and I pour our hearts into every single day.

Taylor and Sarah are absolutely perfect for each other. Their presence calms the other, they mutually respect and support each other, and they smile… oh they smile! They smile so big when they are together that even their eyes are joyful! I’ll stop here and let you get to know them and their beautiful story better through the images below. Enjoy! -EJ

Happy Memorial Day, everyone!

Life has been crazy over here as we have been moving out of our house, downsizing and selling more than half of what we own, finishing out the end of the school year with our kids, and finishing out Arizona wedding season! This blog post is much overdue and I have been so anxious to get it posted… so here we go… on Memorial Day because it seems to be the only slow day around here. ;)

I won’t go on and on about Chelsea and Sean because I know you are really here for the photos, but I do have to say… these two are probably THE MOST joyful couple we have ever had the honor of photographing. They both have the biggest smiles, and when they smile, you can see the depths of their hearts… and their hearts are joyful! They are a match made in heaven and two just incredible people… I don’t know how we get SO lucky to photograph the BEST couples in the world! Andrew did such a great job arranging this blog post in a way that really tells the story of their day through the emotion and the images… so I won’t make you wait any longer to start scrolling!

Chelsea and Sean, thank you for choosing us. Thank you for loving each other and everyone around you so genuinely and deeply. Thank you for being such a great example of two people who choose JOY every day. You are both such a blessing to us, and to everyone who knows you… Congratulations on the best decision you’ve ever made- to be together forever! :) -A&EJ
