El Chorro Wedding Photography: Tyler + Jenna

It all started when Andrew and I were capturing another wedding this past spring at El Chorro (one of our absolute favorite wedding venues!). Tyler and Jenna were touring the property and started to imagine it for their own wedding day. Andrew ran into them outside as he was prepping his camera gear, they hit it off immediately, and Jenna asked Andrew to take a photo on her phone of them at the ceremony site to represent where they planned to say “I do” months later. By the time I arrived at El Chorro, they were already gone, we were back to work, and the day moved on. Much to my surprise, I received an email several weeks later from their amazing wedding planner Andrea Leslie Weddings who proclaimed that we made an impression on Tyler and Jenna and they wanted to hire us to capture their own wedding day. We were OVER THE MOON excited! I was able to meet Jenna at the tail end of her food tasting later that month and immediately LOVED her. I love her for so many reasons but the one that stands out the most to me is her joyful spirit. It is one thing to have a joyful smile and to laugh a lot, but Jenna is different- her SPIRIT is joyful. Her eyes are joyful. Her body language is joyful. Everything inside of her is joyful. She is the kind of person that you want and NEED to be around constantly. Her joy is contagious and she is one of the most incredibly genuine women I have ever met. Every time I left an interaction with her, I left feeling challenged-how can I add more joyfulness to my own life? How can I be at such peace like she is and have a more joyful spirit??

The day of their engagement session came, and I had the pleasure of meeting Tyler for the first time then. They trusted our vision for their engagement session, drove 2.5 hours to meet us, and we had such a blast together capturing what is surely one of our most favorite engagement sessions! We didn’t think we could love anyone more than Jenna, but Tyler proved to be just as amazing. When He speaks you can feel an authentic love coming out of him, and he adores the daylights out of Jenna!

We really feel like we scored the lottery with these two. A chance meeting turned into such a profound wedding day- where we were often speechless and found ourselves just wanting to wrap these two in a hug all day long. Jenna and Tyler- your steadfast love for each other, your faith in God, and the deep joyfulness that radiants from you both is and has been such a blessing to us. You are truly a light in this world and we are so thankful to know you both! -A&EJ

Oh how we love Anthony and Jackie! This may come as a surprise, but we actually did not have the pleasure of meeting these two at all until the day of their wedding! I think this is the first time we have ever walked into a wedding day totally unsure of how we would click with a couple. From what we knew and heard of Anthony and Jackie, we were already impressed by how joyful and laid back they were, but we didn’t have a full understanding of just how amazing they are until we met them last week. We feel like the universe aligns with each and every one of our couples because without a doubt, we seem to attract the absolute BEST couples in the world. Seriously, I cant help but smile ear to ear as I type this…

Anthony and Jackie have a deep and inspiring kind of love. They have been together for over 10 years already and they have been deeply committed in their hearts from the beginning. It was incredible watching them on their wedding day as they glowed with excitement (the day was finally here!) and loved on their friends and families. I don’t know that we have ever felt so valued by a couple either. So many times throughout the day, they pulled us aside to thank us, encouraged us, smiled our way, and even sent a thank you note just a few days ago before even seeing their photos! We are blown away by their generosity and how genuine they are as people and as a couple. I wish we could relive their day again with them, it really went by just way too fast, and it was just so amazing.

Anthony and Jackie, thank you for your hearts. Thank you for choosing us to document your day and for being so wonderful along the way. The world needs more people in it like the two of you. We will forever cherish your wedding day! xoxo -A&J

Tucson Wedding Photography: Colin + Lindsey

As I sit down to write this wedding blog post, I feel like I am still living in a dream. We have now captured 4 incredible and seriously diverse weddings in the last three weeks and we cannot wait to see what the rest of our season holds. We are tired, and our kids are already tired of us working so much, but I honestly don’t think any other job in the entire world could bring us the joy and fulfillment that this one does. Getting to capture the happiest day of someone’s life EVERY.SINGLE.WEEKEND is just incredible. The joy, the fun, the joining of two families, the romance… I could go on and on…

Colin + Lindsey’s wedding will go down in history as one of our absolute favorites. The romantic details were out of this world thanks to our dear friend Randi from Carte Blanche Design, and the day flowed flawlessly thanks to our AMAZING wedding planner friend Courtney with Ashley Gain Weddings, but even more than that, we just really, really love Colin and Lindsey. We love the way they smile at each other, the way they cling to each other when they hug, the way they giggle when they’re together even though they have been together for many years already, the way Colin lovingly confirms Lindsey again and again, the way Lindsey respect Colin and treats him with such kindness. We love the way they hold hands, the way they are up for any adventure, and the way they selflessly love not only each other, but all of their friends and family.

They are two of the most amazing people we have ever met. In fact, their day spoke volumes of that as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, and immediately turned around for a toast with all of their guests. During the toast, Lindsey said “Everyone says that weddings are for the bride and the groom and not about the guests. I don’t believe that is true. Colin and I would not be here today and we would not be who we are without all of you, so this wedding is a thank you and a party to celebrate all of YOU. Cheers to you, and cheers to us!”. The gratitude in her eyes and the smiles on their faces will forever be engraved in my mind. Andrew and I felt SO honored to be there to witness it all! Enjoy this one, we seriously love it. ;) -A&EJ

Ahh the romance! We met these two for the first time in person at their engagement shoot, and the immediate confirmation we had that they were our dream couple was written all over our faces. From their outfits, to their expectations, to their style, to their romance, to their desire to connect with us in a deeper way made our session with them absolute perfection! We only had an hour to shoot before they had to head to the airport and fly back home, but we made quick work of it and laughed along the way. We seriously adore these two…

We cannot WAIT to capture Mike + Jessica’s gorgeous wedding this coming spring with our dear friend Kayla from Some Like It Classic! It’s going to be amazing!! -A&E

Fiesta Inspired Wedding Photography: Fernando + Kristen

This beautiful wedding marks the start of our Fall 2016 wedding season! We have 15 beautiful and incredibly diverse weddings this fall and we could not be more grateful for each and every one of them. What we love most about the type of clients that we seem to attract is that they are all so different (yet so amazing!) and we have the privilege of photographing so many different styles and so many different colors! It’s seriously a photographer’s dream!

When I sat down with Kristen for the first time, I immediately LOVED her wedding vision. She had a deep desire to incorporate her culture and the way she was raised while also really valuing Fernando’s culture and making sure that his family felt valued and right at home at the wedding. She dreamed of her wedding being a diverse party that brought both cultures together in perfect harmony- and that is exactly what she achieved. Andrew and I were amazed by all the little touches throughout the day including Kristen memorizing her wedding vows in spanish and really making it a point to connect with everyone there. Both Fer and Kristen are extremely family oriented and we LOVED witnessing how close they were to their families and how much love resonated from the entire group… ALL. NIGHT. LONG. I can say again and again that most weddings truly represent a couple… but this wedding BY FAR… every aspect of it… truly represented exactly who Fernando and Kristen are as individuals and as a couple. It was breathtaking to see.

We felt so honored to start our season watching these two become one and even more honored to witness such a beautiful, tradition-filled, sacred day. We could not love this couple any more. Congratulations F + K!!!! -A&EJ
